Gum Paste (Sugar Paste) Roses

Now that we’ve learned how to make our own gum paste, we can move on to the really fun part and make some beautiful roses. The kids love to get involved with this too and it’s a great way to keep them entertained. If you don’t want to make your own gum paste, Wilton now makes a packaged gum paste that you can buy. Use your imagination and have fun!

Directions:

Yield: A bouquet of gum paste roses

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of Gum Paste (recipe here)
  • to taste, Concentrated Gel Food Coloring
  • as needed, Icing Sugar or Shortening
