With this post, we are going to take a break from the normal recipes. This is a fun and easy way to decorate your cup cakes and make them look beautiful. Get the kids involved … they will love this. Before getting started, you will need some cupcakes (recipe here) and butter cream frosting (regular butter cream recipe or mocha butter cream recipe).
Directions:
Yield: 24 cupcakes
- Fill a piping bag with butter cream frosting with a star tip. Twist the top of the bag to close it. This will prevent any frosting from coming out the top of the bag.
- Starting at the outside bottom edge of the cupcake, apply gentle pressure to the piping bag allowing the frosting to flow freely.
- Pipe frosting around the outside edge of the cupcake until you reach your starting point. Continue piping, but move towards the center. Continue piping until you reach the center.
- It’s that simple! Now you can add sprinkles, shredded chocolate, toasted coconut or anything you like. Watch the video below to see the instructions in action. Enjoy!
