It’s almost Christmas and what could be a better accompaniment to your festive dinner than homemade cranberry sauce? Contrary to popular belief… cranberry sauce should not be in the shape of a can and served in slices… LOL!
It’s really easy to make and not very time consuming when you follow my simple recipe. So go ahead and give it a try. Impress your family and friends and enjoy!
Directions:
Yield: app. 4 cups
- Combine sugar and water in saucepan and bring to boil.
- Add cranberries and pinch of salt.
- Simmer on medium heat until all cranberries pop and sauce begins to thicken. (Approx. 15 minutes).
- Cool and store covered in the refrigerator.
This recipe can easily be reduced or increased to suit your needs.

- 1 cup of Water
- 1 cup of Sugar
- 3 cups of Fresh Cranberries, washed
- 1 pinch of Salt
